It's not everyday the Smithsonian Institution comes to Idaho. When the Nampa Public Library was the host for the Waterways traveling exhibit, they came to Printing and Graphic Services to develop some eye popping pieces to showcase along with it. I had the opportunity to work on three 4'x6' and two 3'x6' posters showing Nampa's history and how crucial water was and continues to be, for the development of the town.
Being that these are historical pieces, I wanted to create a dialogue between the contemporary design and historical images. Working at this scale also prompted me to consider things like placement of information in accordance to a person's eye level, as well as the display method when laying out different components.
